The Hon Pru Goward joins Taylor Fry

We’re excited to have Pru Goward come on board as a Director supporting our growing government, and health and disability practices.

Pru brings her extensive social policy experience at federal and state levels – as well as six years as a Sex Discrimination Commissioner with the Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission. She was also responsible for age discrimination for a number of years.

Pru will collaborate closely with senior Taylor Fry team members and clients to ensure the results of Taylor Fry’s analysis and modelling are policy relevant and insight rich. She’ll also provide advice across strategy and communications.

Pru served for more than a decade in the NSW parliament. As minister, her portfolios covered complex social issues including family and community services, social housing, mental health, and the prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Taylor Fry Principal Alan Greenfield says “We’re thrilled to be able to take advantage of Pru’s deep knowledge of social policy decision making and extensive experience using information to tell stories and advance ideas.

“Her commitment to improving outcomes for the disadvantaged and to evidence-based policy making align strongly with Taylor Fry’s values.”

Pru says, “I’ve seen first hand the potential for advanced analytics and modelling to shift thinking and practice across government. I’m hugely enthusiastic about working with the Taylor Fry team.

“I’m excited to continue my strong interest in effective social policy, both at Taylor Fry, and as Professor of Social Interventions and Policy at Western Sydney University.”
