Nelson’s background is in corporate general insurance, specialising in technical pricing, insurance liability valuation, budgeting and monitoring.

Since joining us in 2018, he has worked on a variety of actuarial projects, particularly for injury schemes.

Nelson has also advised the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, helping to develop performance measures to regularly monitor the financial sustainability of the NSW workers compensation scheme.

He previously worked for several general insurers, including Zurich Australia, Berkley Re and icare NSW, where he led the pricing reviews of the NSW Workers Compensation Nominal Insurer, and NSW Motor Accident Injuries Treatment and Care portfolios.

• Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) and Bachelor of Applied Finance, Macquarie University
