Taylor Fry

Sylvia is an experienced leader, specialising in accident compensation. For more than 25 years, she has steered a diverse range of projects through valuation actuary roles, as well as peer reviews for several public sector accident compensation funds and general insurers.

Sylvia is focused on using her skills and deep understanding of injury schemes to develop and nurture client relationships, and contribute to social good. She says:

“I want our clients to love collaborating with us, not only for the quality of our work, but for our shared curiosity on what’s driving trends and how to use those insights to make decisions that improve outcomes for society.”

Among her engagements with Commonwealth and state government clients, Sylvia manages projects involving large datasets, analysing changes over time, modelling future costs and costing the impact of legislative reform. Among her private sector roles, she has validated a financial model of the expansion of operations into developing countries for the Fred Hollows Foundation.

Sylvia is a committed mentor, enjoying building up more junior members of the team through on-the-job training and more formal coaching roles to help realise their potential.
