James works primarily in the health and disability sector, specialising in using actuarial analytics to help frame government policy and provide insight into better ways of delivering high-quality, sustainable services to communities.
James has a strong background leading complex analytics projects, with a focus on data linkage, financial projection models, and methods to support effective allocation of resources. At the National Disability Insurance Agency, he led major consultation projects with Allied Health professionals and sector experts to more accurately estimate the wide range of supports a person with a disability could need over their lifetime.
Previously, James held consulting roles in Australia and the UK, managing actuarial projects for a range of insurance clients, from monoline insurers to Lloyd’s Syndicates with diversified portfolios.
